Keyworker

I joined Brighter Futures in 2013 as a trainee keyworker and I did this for just over two years, before becoming a key worker.

I have completed a “Work With Parents” diploma and am trained in Mellow Parenting and safeguarding. I have also undertaken REAL (Raising Early Achievement in Literacy) training.

I enjoy facilitating our Time to Talk and Mellow Parenting courses, and I also oversee the ‘WELLCOMM Programme’, which is a speech and language screening tool. I’m also part of the Growing Together Team.

I love Mellow Parenting, as it looks at attachment between carer and child and focuses on breaking negative relationship cycles.

I am also one of the Portuguese speaking members of the Brighter Futures team, so that I can help our Portuguese-speaking clients with any queries that they may have. (Eu falo portugues).
